Water Pump for Forklifts - Connected to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a simple centrifugal pump that is driven by a belt. Fluid is circulated by the pump whenever the engine is running.
Making use of centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside as it spins causing the fluid to be continually drawn from the pumps center. The pump inlet is situated close to the center. This particular design enables fluid coming back from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically placed to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it enters the engine.
The fluid primarily flows throughout the engine block and cylinder head before exiting the pump. The fluid then travels into the radiator before finally returning to the pump.
